Real Wedding: Ragan & Christopher, Part II

June 16, 2009

Back to more of this fantastic wedding by Mark Eric, whose work I absolutely love.   He’s got an amazing eye for adding some style to his shoots, particularly the shot of the bouquet in our sneak peek, which is a very hip twist on the traditional bouquet portrait.

I think I echo everyone’s sentiments when I say that the days of having your bridal party pose for pictures all lined up by height are over.  As seen in the shot below, having a candid shot of your nearest and dearest really helps tell the story of the day, and lets everyone’s personality shine through in the photo.  You don’t have to keep it just to candids, either, but thinking outside the box and being a little creative with your bridal party poses is a new trend that I love, and something I will definitely touch on more in the future.

Picture perfect wedding attendant.  Is he not the cutest redhead you’ve ever seen?!

The pop of fuschia really lends to the sexy vibe they’ve got going on in the decor.  I’ve always been a fan of brown and pink, but the HOT pink is my favorite.

Thanks again to Mark Eric for these beautiful photos.  And with that, I’ll leave you with the image of one of the bridesmaids getting her hoola on!

I love the way the bridesmaids used their sashes to make each dress a little more their own. definitely matching, but not soo matchy matchy.

I totally agree, Sera. It’s still cohesive, but allows each girl to express a little personality.
